(August 6, 1955 – )

Eva Carmella Whitley (sometimes Eva Chalker), a Baltiwash SF club fan and conrunning fan, first found fandom in 1977. She is a long-time member of WSFA and BSFS and chaired Disclave 26 and Disclave 34, and has worked on a wide variety of regionals and Worldcons.

She was formerly a member of the PSSFS, she published Conventional Fanzine (two issues in 1979) and has been a member of APA-69 and Golden APA. She was a member of the Johnstown in 1983 hoax Worldcon bid. She was on the Board of Directors for BSFS from 2003–2005, and again in 2017–2018. She also served as Recording Secretary for BSFS for one term, until she was forced to move away from Baltimore, and was slated to run Balticon 39 until her husband's final illness forced her to resign.

She is the widow of fan and pro writer Jack L. Chalker; she notes that she is possibly the only person in fandom to meet her spouse by making him GoH (Paracon 1978).

She is the mother of award-winning game designer Dave Chalker, and Samantha (formerly Steven) Chalker. Professionally, she is an award-winning technical editor, mostly as a contractor for Federal agencies such as Medicare, the National Weather Service, NASA, and the Department of Energy.
