Jean Murrey (sometimes spelled Jean Murray) was a UK fan from Middlesex active in the 1940s. She was a member of the British Fantasy Society and when she joined in September 1943 D. R. Smith described her as 'Beefasmette Number Two', their second female member after Anne Gardiner[1].
She was a a member of the Cosmos Club in August 1943 and was the only one who showed up when Gus Willmorth visited Teddington for a meeting scheduled at Shirley's Cafe 'where a bit of beer was to be consumed' (Fan Slants #2). Futurian War Digest #31 the following December reported that she had moved to Bournemouth, 'leaving the Cosmos Club (almost) desolate'.
