Con Pederson, an L.A. fan, was active in the 1940s and ’50s. He was a member of LASFS and The Outlanders and edited at least one issue of The Outlander, as well as contributing to the 1948 Fantasy Annual.

He wrote some sf in the 1950s.

Later, he became an animator and a specialist in the use of animation techniques. He was best known for his work as one of the "special photographic effects supervisors" on 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968).
