William B. Berg, a Baltiwash fan, was a longtime member of WSFA. He held many offices in the club, beginning in 1954, including president in 1956 and a decade-long stint as treasurer, 1969–79, and hosted many meetings at his home. The Bergs started hosting WSFA’s Third Fridays at their home in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland, in 1974.

In 1978, Bill performed with other club members in Star Wars Roots at Disclave 22.

His wife, Phyllis (whom he met at the club), and daughter, Betty, were also WSFAns.
