Buffalo in 2024 is the bid to hold the 16th NASFiC in Buffalo, NY, July 18–21, 2024, since Worldcon will be Glasgow 2024 in Scotland. The proposed venues are the Hyatt Regency Buffalo Hotel and Convention Center and the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.
It announced in June 2022 and began campaigning at Chicon 8. The date was originally to be August 16–20, just a week after Glasgow and opposite the presumptive Eurocon, but after some criticism the bid promised on December 4 it would move forward. The final date was revealed when formal bid papers were filed on January 20, 2023, a day before the deadline. The 2024 NASFiC Site Selection will take place at the 2023 NASFiC, Pemmi-con, in Winnipeg, MB; Buffalo is unopposed.
The bidcom is Wayne Brown (chair), Alex von Thorn, Debi Chowdhury, Marah Searle-Kovacevic and David Ennis. It is sponsored by the Upstate New York Science Fiction & Fantasy Alliance, incorporated July 15, 2022.
