An early club in Battle Creek, MI which lasted roughly 1940-45. Members included E. Everett Evans (secretary), Fred Merchant, Elra House, Al Ashley, Abby Lu Ashley, Jack Weidenback, Edwin Counts, Jack Hessmer and Allen Stanley.

From Fancyclopedia 1, ca. 1944
The local for Jackson and Battle Creek, MI, centering around 3E and Skylark Smith. They had exotic names for their officers such as Chief Pilot, Chief Communications Officer, etc. This club led to the awakening of Michifandom.

[Added in Fancyclopedia 2]: It broke up when the Slan Shackers moved to Los Angeles. Not to be confused with the Galactic Roomers, the inhabitants of the Ashley apartment who later founded Slan Shack itself.

Club 19401945
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
