(Did you want Ed Meskys' SAPSzine?)

Donald A. Wollheim edited a total of 18 issues of Avon Fantasy Reader between 1947 and 1952.

The Readers were not published on a regular schedule because Wollheim and the publisher thought of the digest-sized publications as books rather than magazines. This was also true of their Avon Science Fiction Reader, three issues of which were published during 1951-1952.

The Fantasy Readers mainly reprinted stories from earlier magazines and books, but originial stories were also published.

Frequently published authors included Ray Bradbury, Cyril Kornbluth, William Hope Hodgson, Lord Dunsany, Robert E. Howard, Frank Belknap Long, and Wollheim himself. Some of the stories were SF.
