The 1969 Open ESFA was held March 2, 1969 in Newark, NJ. The GoH was L. Sprague de Camp who was introduced by Sam Moskowitz by comparing him to Mark Twain. Attendance was 127 which was typical, but this Open ESFA was crowded because the room they normally used had been trashed the night before bt a fraternity party.
