Albacon 1997 (Albacon #2) was a convention held October 17-19, 1997 at the Ramada Inn, Schenectady, NY. Melissa Scott (GoH), Charles Lang and Wendy SnowLang (Artist GoH), Wayne Brown (FGoH), The Don't Quit Your Day Job Players (Musical GoH), Bill! the Starship Captain (Special GoH). Chairman: Kevin Allen.
Paul Edwin Zimmer died during the convention.
