SAFF is a 501(c)3 non-profit to promote Outer Space related activities by all nations by bringing an astronaut, and usually a spokesperson, to Worldcons, including Helsinki, Mac 2 and Sasquan. It has mostly concentrated on NASA but hopes to cover Space Agencies as well.

SAFF typically pays airfare and expenses and asks that the convention provide a hotel room for the astronaut and spokesperson.
