Robert Francis Jones, a Milwaukee-born novelist and outdoors journalist, wrote fantastic adventure stories.

He died in Vermont, where he had lived for 23 years. Jones' papers are at the Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library at the University of Virginia.
