Dick Smith called Uncle Dick's, the newszine he published with Leah Zeldes in the 1980s, a gossipzine." The mimeographed fanzine featured convention and smof news and other items about fan doings.
Smith started it as Uncle Dick's Little Thing, a one-sheet twiltone crudzine that appeared in Windyapa; it received a Hogu Award for Worst Fanzine Title in 1982. The zine gradually expanded and the name was shortened after Zeldes became involved.
