This is an adumbrated (probably) [[hoax bid]] which never actually materialized.  In the late ’50s, a group calling itself [[Wisconsin Fandom]] put an ad in the 1958 [[Solacon]] [[PR]] 3 announcing a '''Bheercon''' bid for by 'Milwaukee's Spree in 'Seventy-Three' ... but in the meantime, vote for the [[Chicago: 1959]] bid.

It's unclear if “Wisconsin Fandom” was a formal group or just a bunch of [[fans]] living in [[Wisconsin]], but [[Phyllis Economou]], [[Arthur Economou]], [[Bill Steaffens]], [[Pat Steaffens]], [[Dean Grennell]], [[Jean Grennell]], [[Michael Nimtz]], [[William Newmann]], [[Bob Bloch]], [[Marion Bloch]], [[Joe Rupp, Jr.]], and [[Curtis Janke]] were listed. 

This appears to be the last [[fandom]] heard of it (see [[1973 Site Selection]] results.)
