Windy City was a writer's workshop for "selling writers" held in the Chicago area every 2-3 months. In 1974, the organizer was George R. R. Martin.

Attendance varied, but attendees included: Alex Eisenstein, Phyllis Eisenstein, Roland Green, Michael Bradley, Chuck Ott, Jon Stopa, E. Michael Blake, Fred Saberhagen, George Guthridge, and George R. R. Martin.
