Kwazar

One of the most known polish fanzines, published at Klub Miłośników Fantastyki Naukowej "Orbita" (Science Fiction Fan Club "Orbita") in Poznan, from 1979 to 1987.

33 issues were published, including so called "white issue" (number 0). "Kwazar" was a continuation of another fanzine - "Materiały", also published at "Orbita".

Editorial team was created by: Mirosław Murawski (chief, until 1981), Jacek Wójciak (deputy chief), Paweł Porwit, Rafał Surmacz, Grzegorz Gałuszka.

Early issues were duplicated, later printed. The fanzine included articles, novelettes, reviews.

Artists contributing: Joanna Grzegorczyk, Ryszard Piekarczyk, Mirosław Murawski, Michał Przestalski and others.

In 1984, at the VIII Eurocon in Ljubljana, "Kwazar" won the prize for the best fanzine in Europe.
